I was a little bit worried about going after this one. Typically, when the cache size is listed as undefined, that's usually meant 'nano' for the most part. And searching for a nano in a forest is never easy. Or particularly fun... but that's just me . Thankfully, said worries were unfounded. Just to be on the safe side though, while walking I checked the cache description in my Palm Pilot. Not seeing anything related to cache size, it looks like I was going to have to chance it. So, having just found two other caches in the park, this one would wrap up all of the remaining caches that I haven't found in St. Vital Park. Thus, from the last cache, I had a nice walk past the (extremely green, assumingly-algae filled) ponds. Gotta say... it was kinda amusing to watch all the ducks (so... many... baby ducks today... shoulda taken a pic) swim through the green, leaving little trails of visible water behind them .

But... the metric ton of ducks aside, I actually had a somewhat difficult time finding my way to the coordinates, and ended up moreso spiraling my way towards the cache. Eventually, I found my way onto a road that was somewhere around 30 meters from the cache if I'm not mistaken. Seeing no other easy way to access the cache, I found a vague, pseudo-path through the trees to take me to ground zero.

Upon finally reaching the coordinates, I was utterly inundated with mosquitoes. Seriously, I think the swarm from the last cache must have followed me the entire way, calling all their friends along the way, and then teamed up with the swarm over here that had gathered for CaptainConquest. I think it's been a good several years since I've physically come in contact with this many mosquitoes at the exact same time.

Thankfully, I located the cache container nigh-instantly, and after quickly figuring out how to... umm... remove the cache container itself from its camouflage, I took that with me and started to walk, in hopes of outpacing the flying mosquitoes. However, it didn't seem that there was any fewer mosquitoes on the walking trail (not sure how I didn't locate that one way back at the start of my trek, but oh well), and for some reason I was having great difficulty attempting to open and work with the cache container while in a constant state of walking and swatting my arms. Thus, I decided to bite the bullet, go back to ground zero, and just do everything there as fast as I could.

Once I stopped walking, bent down, and opened the cache container, my arm literally felt like it had a full sleeve on it of some kind of fuzzy material, due to the number of mosquito legs that had all landed on me at once. Giving it a quick shake did nothing, so I continued the task at hand. Quickly retrieving the logbook, I pulled it out of the ziplock bag, signed it, dropped in a chainmail ball, and put everything back. At this point, I gave a quick swipe over both my arms to at least force the mosquitoes to 'start over' so to speak, and replaced the cache back into is camouflage(?). Placing the entire device back into its hiding spot, I covered it up as found, and headed out of the area. Thankfully, I managed to avoid being COMPLETELY drained of all of my blood, and had enough left to make it back to the car .

Thanks for the cache, although I think it might be wise to go after it sometime OTHER than right after multiple days of rain .
