FTF BABY! And MAN... I don't know what's wrong, but it looks like this cache caused a whole truckload of difficulty for multiple people. Which is peculiar, since I was able to locate it in about 10 or so seconds after getting to the coordinates ToungeOut.

I'm quite surprised I got FTF actually. I woke up this morning, doing my usual perusing of webcomics before work. On a whim, I decided to wander over to geocaching.com and see if there were any new caches nearby. What's this... there were?!? Brand new ones... not yet logged. Could I possibly have a FTF on my hands? I still doubted it, since it was already about 8:00am, and if history has taught me anything, the FTF's are usually obtained the night they're posted, or early, EARLY in the morning thereafter.

However, I decided to give it a try regardless. Quickly packing up my stuff for work, I zipped off towards the coordinates, almost certain that I would find a minimum of one or two other names on the paper prior to where I would write mine. However, given I start work at 9:00, I would have a VERY small window in which to search for the cache. I prayed that luck would be on my side. I parked relatively close to the coordinates (about 70 meters from) and quickly ran towards it. Nearly slipping on the damp grass, I reached the coordinates, finding noone else nearby. There had been several other cars parked alongside the road a bit further back, and multiple in the parking lot to the West... so I figured there was a chance I'd find another geocacher nearby.

But no, the area was completely empty. Not a soul to be seen or heard. Which was a tad confusing, given the abundance of cars strewn about ToungeOut. But nevertheless... it was quiet, and I could hunt in peace. But I'd have to hunt quickly, because by the time I arrived, I had approximately THREE MINUTES before I would have to run back to my car and gun it to work ToungeOut.

Luck was definitely with me today... as previously mentioned, I was about 10 or so seconds into the hunt, and spotted it right-off BigSmile. I just happened to be at the right angle needed to see what needed to be seen. Reaching in, the anticipation grew. I quickly opened the cache and took out the log. A sudden gust of disappointment rushed over me as I saw some other writing on the page. But wait... that's only the name of the cache owner, and the date it was placed BigSmile BigSmile BigSmile!

The logbook was fresh and empty. Nary a pencil or pen mark on it, aside from that of the cache owner. Looking around, there was still noone nearby. Quickly writing my name on it, I tossed in a micromail ball and closed it up again. WOOH! VICTORY IS MINE! After having signed my name, I was sitting at about 1 minute, 30 seconds to get back to the car. Quickly replacing the cache from where I found it, I bolted back to the car and made it to work on time BigSmile. I noticed there was another cache I could have potentially gotten a FTF on to the West, but I severely lacked time (both before and after work, unfortunately... but it looks to be logged by now). So only one FTF for me... but I'm plenty fine with that. The other cache will gtive me something for another day Smile.

And just to breath a sigh of relief into the other cachers who have attempted to find this one... I DID manage to make a quick swing-by after work today (though with the roads blocked off, I wouldn't have had time to run to the other new cache in the park) so that I could take a pic of the logbook. Given there was no FTF certificate, I take a picture of the log and my name at the top of it as my certificate Smile. So yes... as of about 5:50pm today, the cache is still in place ToungeOut.

So thanks for placing the new cache, which appears to be quite difficult to others. It's given me one of my rare few FTF's BigSmile.

Took: Picture of log (which has been found by a second person after me, apparently)
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball
