This is a tribute to one of the cool caches we have found. Just a bit of a twist. An easy, winter accessible find. Be cautious to not disturb the upstairs neighbours.

A small two piece container. The top is for the logbook and calling cards. The bottom is for small trading items. The Little Lizards (our two kids) picked out the outer container. It may look a little out of place.

YES! My arch-nemesis has been tackled! VICTORY IS MINE! Yep... once again, both mapquest and google maps were utterly useless the first 3 times around. Mapquest had me looking too far south, and google maps had me looking too far east. So essentially, I was mostly searching a kinda crescent-shaped area around the cache :P So yes... with the addition of a GPS system, this cache wasn't nearly as difficult as anticipated :}. Nice little hiding spot. The upstairs neighbours look like they might have moved out entirely... kinda dusty-looking furnishings.
Took: "SUN microsystems" pin
Left: Chainmail ball (see profile) (wasn't room put put the other swag I happened to have :{ ).

Yet another half-hearted attempt, this time attempting to go closer to where google maps showed instead of mapquest. Yeah, that didn't help. Unless I decide to be an utter glutton for punishment, this fella's being left until I get a GPS system, or go with other geocachers... since I'm obviously blind as a bat with this one :P

Second attempt at this one. A little more half-hearted than the first, but I just kinda decided to wander over on a blind hope with nothing more than 2-day old memory of a horribly-printed map :P
Must have spent as much time watching the squirrels as I did looking for the cache :P. Expanded my search to like... 200 square feet, randomly wandering around. A few people tossed me hints (like which side of the fence it's on), but nothing that I hadn't already searched the first time really. In either case... no dice this time. Wouldn't put it past mapquest to have marked the park's entrance gate wrong in one direction or the other, given that's the only landmark I could work off of :P I'll give this another attempt either when I get the GPS to narrow it down by like... 10 times smaller than today's search.

Edit: Looks like Lizardo confirmed yesterday (but just posted today) that it's still there. Hence... odds are I'm, as stated previously, probably like... 100 feet away from it :P. Methinks I'll likely wait until I get a GPS system for this fella.

Edit #2: Ok, so now that I've realized that there's a link to google maps directly from the cache page (that should really be the default map it shows... not mapquest), that confirms that I was indeed, way the hell away from it... and also confirms that mapquest is horribly worthless and inaccurate :P Might give this another attempt sometime before I get a GPS yet. We'll see.

Was unable to locate this one today. Still don't own a GPS unit, and my "map" was a poorly printed out mapquest with that 'star' on it. So yeah... I'm unsure as to whether it's in the "park" side, or the "golf course" side... and didn't want to venture too far into the latter. All I can tell is 'it's somewhere kinda across from the gate entrance... maybe kinda close to the road sorta... but maybe not' type of thing. So yeah... hunted around for a while, didn't find it, and will likely wait on this until either I get my GPS system (likely next month) or someone else finds and logs it into here so I can be sure it's still there. Safe bet that it is... but I'm working with like... next to nothing here :P
