Found it 6/14/2009 by Kabuthunk
The final cache of the day for me. This cache makes for my 15th find, shattering (when it comes to the number of finds I make, anyway) my previous record of 12 finds in a single day back in October of 2006. I was actually highly debating whether to go after this one or not. Not long prior to this cache, I had just finished putting myself through hell with several other geocaches, so I wasn't entirely sure if I was up for another geocache today or not.

But then, in the back of my mind, my brain was tugging at me telling me "say... are you SURE your previous record was 12? What if it was 13? Or even 14? If you just TIED your previous record, would you want to go out again in order to beat it? Given how tired you are, would you be ABLE to go out again? Or would you just abandon it, and not break your record?"

Stupid brain ToungeOut.

As I said, my old record was 12, so I trounced the hell out of it... but to appease my brain at the time, I decided to tackle ONE more, just to be safe. This cache was quite close to Lagimodiere, and the name also appealed to me quite a bit. The "Blaaargh" portion of it, to be specific. It's not well known, but I tend to use the term "blargg" quite a bit, or modifications thereof. In fact, at one point or another in the past, I had written an entire 'Blarggtionary' of about 20 words. It may be long-gone by this point, but who knows...

But I digress. Quite a bit, too. In either case, I decided to stop for one last cache, and parked in the nearby large parking lot just to the South. Everything was pretty much empty, probably due to it being Sunday, and close to 7:00pm. Thus, I had very few worries about bystanders wondering what I'm doing, and in fact I think I saw maybe a total of 3 cars go by during the entire time I was there.

I started out working from the bottom upwards, searching for the cache in ways that other caches have been hidden in similar locations. Unfortunately, all of my efforts turned up empty. About 10 minutes of circling later, I had prodded my fingers into every crevice I could find, and had just about thought I had searched everywhere. However, I knew in my mind that with as many places as there could be to hide a cache in here, there's a pretty decent chance that I simply hadn't come across it yet. A little bit more searching here, and a little bit more searching there, and my GPS is missing.

Wait, what?

Oh CRAP, my GPS seems to have come unclipped from my geocaching kit! Quickly circling the area again, I soon found it lying amongst the shrubberies. Whew... that's the LAST thing that I need today ToungeOut. Picking up where I left off, I barely had any energy left to search. Sitting down, I happened to spot something that I hadn't run across on my previous circlings. Picking it up, I discovered that it both opened, and contained cache contents indeed BigSmile.

Was a bit worried I'd have to pull a DNF for my final cache of the day... but in the end, I was victorious BigSmile. One signing later, and a micromail ball was added to the cache. Replacing it where I had found it, I stumbled my tired self back to the car to end a day well cached BigSmile.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball
