This cache is the first in a series of “Remember” caches, dedicated to a few of the thousands of Canadian Servicemen who have given their all to defend our way of life. Remember #16 is situated in a residential area and camoed to its environment. The Fleets in, boys! Time to get caching. Bring your own writing stick! A FTF certificate is there for the finding!

Within the cache is information on one serviceman. You may want to record this information because the “Remember” series has one factor that ties them all together and it will help you find the last of the series which will be a puzzle cache. Information from each of the caches will be required to find this last one or, if you figure out the factor that ties them together, you will be able to “fast forward” to the last cache.

Found it 12/29/2006 by Kabuthunk
Well, I had just finished dropping my mom off at the airport, and on the way back to the apartment, I thought "Hey, it's not too bad out... let's see what geocaches are kicking around."
So as can be assumed, I indeed found a geocache quite close to my location at that particular time... what with... y'know... the online log and such... and the smiley-face to the top-left of said log ToungeOut.

But yes! A cache I did seek, and a cache I did find. Took me FOREVER to find that thing (Note: the term 'forever' can be quantified to approximately 5 minutes ToungeOut). For one, my GPS decided to not be very accurate, and give me a fairly large area to search. Well... not that there was much around, which kinda boggled me. I looked at the hint in Cachemate, and the hint just boggled me further. I STILL can't wrap my mind around what it means... but I grew up in the country, so odds are it's a city thing.

In either case, there was a fair amount of traffic the second I got out of the car too... so much of my hunting was broken apart by trying not to look conspicuous as cars went by. As well, I kinda had to meander around a little bit to wait for a gap in the traffic after spotting said cache. EXCELLENT hide though! That was awesome! I was leaning against a tree and just kinda... looking around (which seems to be how I find most caches... mental note on just starting out with that instead ToungeOut) when I spotted something a bit... off. Investigating closer, and I was indeed correct. Sweet stuff. Was way too cold to write down the #16 info, but I had my digital camera with me, so I snapped a pic of it (won't be uploaded here obviously). Once I get the other 'remember' caches, I can kinda have pics of all of them side-by-side to try to figure out the last one. Also was easily able to get a chainmail ball into there for the next finder :}

Took: Nothing (obviously, as the only thing there was the logboook)
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
