As all talking trees usually shy from humankind (they have axes) Eric is a little different. Not only has he sought out humans but he loves to talk with them. He has placed a cache where he can see it easily. Find Eric first and then all you need to do is walk 18 small Ent strides (child size paces)the way he is staring and then turn right. There is your cache! Permission has been granted for this location of the cache. It is that easy because Eric especially loves to talk to the smaller humans, they are more apt to not have an axe after all! If you wish to talk to Eric, speak very slowly and listen very carefully as their talk is like the rustle of leaves. I keep on being told that this is an interesting cache to try, and we happened to be near it... so a cache-huntin' we went. Me and my friend Night-Red were tackling caches today, and this was number 4 of 4. As well, this cache was definitely a good end to a good day .

Drove up and parked nearby. Looking around for a bit, we pondered "How in the world are we going to know what way this tree is 'looking'?" Upon reaching the tree... the question had it's immediate answer. Very cute indeed. If I had been taking my niece or some other youngster with me... this would definitely be a kid-friendly cache, and then some .

Located the cache container quite quickly. The container was well camouflaged, but the nature of it just didn't fit it's location enough for me to not recognize it as a cache. Pulling open one of the... well... only things you can pull open when you first see it, I did indeed confirm it wasn't real, and was the cache. A quick pull-out, and I was treated to my favourite type of cache.

Yep... this cache has quite the selection of all kinds of things. Typically, I don't have anything to trade with me lately (I should really change that), but I DO enjoy looking at what other people have left. Anyhoo... a chainmail ball and coin-swap takes place at this particular one.

Really nice cache. Glad I went after it today. Thanks for the fun .
