A cammoed 35mm Film can

While out caching i checked on my lake albrin cache and decided it was time to place another one in this nice little park. So i had a cache contianer in hand and figured why not use this. And thus a cache was born. Cache only contains the log book. please write the time of find for the FTF on the front page of the log.

Found it 7/20/2011 by Kabuthunk
I mainly decided to go after this one on a whim than anything else. The main reason I came to the area was in an attempt to find a ‘regular’ size cache that I might be able to drop off a not-particularly-small travelbug I’ve been trying to find a place to drop. As it turns out, I had apparently parked within 5 meters of this cache without even having known it. I just parked the car in preparation for going after the ‘regular’ cache nearby (which ended up being way too small anyway), and as I was getting out of the car and looked at the GPS I noticed that my arrow was like… just about right on top of the cache ToungeOut. So I figured I’d leave this one for a bit, and didn’t want to get too distracted from my primary objective. If I got too hot outside after the first cache, I wanted to make sure that first cache had a chance of fitting the TB (if only people would stop marking small caches as regular).

Said first cache found (amongst other things in its vicinity), I’d discovered that the breeze was keeping me fairly cool, and my sweating down to a minimum. Well, a minimum considering the +34 temperature outside. Gotta admit though, the weather network must have been right about the +34 temperature… it DID feel cooler outside today Smile.

I contemplated for a bit tackling the various other caches in the area, but with the sun beating down on me, I figured I’d just tackle the mystery cache right close to the car. Besides, this cache brings me up to 699 finds, making it convenient to pick out a good 700th cache. So heading back to the car, I thankfully found nobody walking around nearby to hinder my hunting (although another car was parked behind mine… nobody present though). Although I gave myself a bit of a hint… while walking from the previous cache to this one, I opened up my palm pilot to see what the GPS said about it. Not much, but it gave me what container type to look for. I can work with that.

As I walk up to ground zero, on a whim I decided to quickly take a look and see if it was hidden in a similar manner to a previous cache I had found. As it turns out… it was. MAN, the last time I had a HELL of a time looking for this! Coincidentally (or actually, probably not so coincidentally), it was hidden by the same cacher, so Pa_Bottle, you know which one I’m talking about ToungeOut.

So with the cache nigh-instantly found due to previous knowledge of cache hides, I quickly signed the log and dropped in a micromail ball. Although, I wasn’t able to seal up the ziplock bag at all, since it wasn’t… y’know… zipping, It wasn’t zipped when I pulled it out either, so I just kinda wrapped it up in the plastic, and placed it back in the cache container. Shouldn’t be a problem though, if I recall correctly this particular type of film canister holds out water awesomely. Gotta say though, the type of camouflage on it matches its surroundings really well actually. Not too shabby.

All that taken care of, I returned to the still-mildly-air-conditioned car and headed off. Thanks for the extra cache, conveniently so close to the car Smile.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and micromail ball
