A walking trail should get you here most of the way.

Please be sure to bring your own writing stick and replace cache as you found it. A slight walk will be required down the trails to access this one. Depending on where you park, walking distance should be no more then 5 mins to GZ.

Oct 16/11-Just checked on this cache as several have claimed a DNF and requested I check on it. Cache is still there, try looking a little harder.

D'oh. Wish I would have stumbled across CaptainConquest earlier. I had given her a pencil over at St Vital Park Cache #1, but I imagine she had found this one first. Or if I would have known she'd already been here, I would have signed her name for her. Oh well, hindsight 20/20 and all. In either case, having just come from the aforementioned SVPC#1, I sauntered my way over, enjoying the nice walk outside on the beautiful day out. Of course, wasn't able to really saunter all that slowly, since the mosquitoes were out in droves today. Especially around the area of this cache, since it seemed to be a bit lower ground, and thus damper than the rest of the park that I wandered to. This was especially evident in the puddles of standing water that I'd swear I could almost HEAR the mosquito larvae growing inside of ToungeOut. Yeah, we desperately need a few days of just straight out tons of sun to evaporate these puddles away and give the mosquitoes like... nothing to grow inside of. Not that it'll completely get rid of them, but it'll at least drop their numbers by a few orders of magnitude.

So, while those guys continued to plague my existence through all of todays caching (although, it culminated in their biggest effort on my last cache of the day... 'Purple Monkey Dishwasher'), I quickly found my way over to this cache. Upon reaching ground zero, I circled around what I assumed would be the correct hiding area, thinking that it would probably be hidden in a manner similar or identical to that of St Vital Park Cache #1. In this aspect, it turns out I was incorrect. However, it took a mere few seconds after that in which I was able to locate the cache Smile. With a slightly bigger container for this one, too! Unfortunately, there didn't appear to be any swag inside that I wanted to trade for (although that's somewhat rare at best anyway). Signing this cache was a bit more of an adventure in itself though.

And thankfully, there didn't appear to be anyone else in the area, otherwise they would have thought I was insane ToungeOut. As I attempted to open the cache and get at the logbook, I kept walking back and forth or in circles, attempting to avoid letting the mosquitoes land on me. Naturally, a few managed to anyway, but at least I kept most of the pack off of me, assumingly following me in a swarm. Eventually, I managed to get the logbook out of its ziplock bag, but came to the conclusion that I wouldn't be able to sign on the thin lines of the log page. Trying to make the motion as quick as possible, I crouched down, laid the paper on my geocaching bag, signed it, and then got up and continued my walking aimlessly around the area. Only a few mosquitoes managed to latch onto my arms thankfully, and I was able to get everything back in place and the cache closed up during my weaving meander back to the cache's hiding spot. I spent a good few seconds getting the container as hidden as I could, and think it came out fairly inconsipicuous.

That completed, I headed away from the area with another successful cache find under my belt Smile. Thanks again for getting a few new caches in the park for me to go after, although I think my next visit here won't be immediately after multiple days of rain ToungeOut.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
