Despite not feeling all that well today (pretty sure a coworker's flu decided to take residence with me), I had just yesterday beaten my old record for number of days consecutively finding a cache. Albeit I broke my old record... 10 is still a pretty small number. And will I let a little bit of sickness get in the way of continuing this streak? NEVAH!

Hence, checked for caches that were close to home (or as close to home as I can get... the closest active cache to me is over 4km away), not in a busy neighbourhood... since at about noon, a lot of places will have a lot of bystanders, and East. Since my workplace is to the left (and I had called in sick today), I figured it best to avoid the area as a whole. Last thing I need is to have a coworker out on lunch or something see me driving around, as I assume they wouldn't be able to tell I felt like crap regardless .

So East it was, and it led me to go after this cache! The name of this cache series has always rather confused me... until of course I bothered to look at the name of the cache owner, which led me to look at the area of town it's in . Driving along, I eventually worked my way to the industrial zone. What specifically caught my eye was Kraus Global... the reason being that I work as a Customs broker, and that company is one of our clients.

After parking near the coordinates and getting out of the car, I indeed re-confirmed that I was in an industrial zone. On a large rock nearby (should have taken a picture, but I was a little out of it), there appears to be a plaque indicating that this is indeed... an industrial park. I think it said it was St. Boniface Industrial park, but I could be wrong... just kinda glanced over it and continued sniffling and sickly-ing my way over to the cache .

There were a few other pedestrians walking down the path... I assume workers on lunch or something. I instead took the other side of the bushes and stood for a few seconds, enjoying the view. It's strange how such a nice pond, trees, grass, and general scenery can be hidden in (or failing that, just off to the side of) an industrial park . Very thankfully, there was no smell whatsoever in the area that nateloaf had. Had there been, it may not have ended well . But no, it was generally just the smell of water, grass, and yeah... a park .

Once I reached the coordinates, finding the cache was quite easy. The GPS was bang-on for me, and it ended up taking longer to actually reach than it was to spot. Poking around inside, I added a chainmail ball and signed the logbook. Clamping it shut again, I replaced it and made my way back to the car. Given I technically had time today, I would have written more in the logbook itself under normal circumstances. However, the act of bending over, looking around, driving, etc was starting to take it's toll. So unfortunately, only the date and name. The online log though... I can do that while sitting with a cup of hot tea beside me . Thankfully, there was no messages from work (or anyone for that matter) at home, and I think I made it out and back again without anyone's notice. Mission accomplished .

Thanks for showing me the hidden pond in the area. It's actually not that far from where I got my first FTF back in 2006. It's given me a new appreciation for the potential beauty hiding inside of industrial parks, anyway .
