I've had my eye on this cache for a while now. Ever since the day it was placed, it's been the closest cache to where I currently live. Unfortunately, the day that it was placed, and for several months thereafter, it was winter. As I've learned time and again growing up... winter and biking do not equal fun ToungeOut.

I suppose I could have driven there over the months, but as is with all excuses, I either didn't have time, or when I did I was going in a different direction and planned to cache on my way to wherever. Today was different however.

Well... two days ago technically, as I'm logging this a few days late. As with excuses for caching, there's also always excuses for logging ToungeOut.

But that's besides the point... OFF TO THE CACHE! It was a beautiful day for a bike ride. Sunny, warm, virtually no wind to speak of. Nothing seemed to matter except my feet and the pedals they were on. Well, steering too maybe ToungeOut. And watching where I'm going. Especially when going over the bridge. Since I trust Winnipeg not to hit me about as far as I can throw the car they're in, I generally tend to opt for biking on the sidewalk. And lemme tell ya... going over the bridge, the sidewalk path is ridiculously thin compared to the one on Bishop Grandin. Had to stop a few times to let pedestrians by, or so myself and another biker can avoid clipping our handlebars together and hurling ourselves into the river.

However, once I crossed the bridge of doom, it was free and easy going. A few wrong looks at my GPS had me circle a little bit before zeroing in on the coordinates. After arriving and dismounting from my bike, the inevitable happened... a dog-walker came wandering by. So I kicked back, rested from the bike ride (albeit only about 3 or so km's in... so not exactly much rest needed yet) and waited for him to move along. When the coast was clear, I dove in. I had spotted the cache several seconds after getting off my bike, but had to hold off on going for it. The cache in hand, I waded through the contents.

Note: the cache is getting somewhat full. Although the fact that like... everything in the cache is in its own seperate little ziplock baggy really doesn't help matters. I think it'd almost halve the space if all of the ziplock could be removed. Bah... people need to get weatherproof tradeables ToungeOut.

Anyhoo, not seeing anything that caught my attention for trading, I jotted my name down and clamped 'er shut again. Quickly replacing it, I got back on the bike to another cache well found Smile.

Thanks for giving me a place to bike to. This one's been tantalizing me for what seems like forever, so it's nice that I've finally had some time to go after it BigSmile.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and weatherproof, thus not needing its own ziplock bag stainless steel chainmail ball ToungeOut
