In a small park. This area is on our "meals on wheels" route and we have noted that there is a dearth of caches in the area. This is the first attempt to remedy this situation.

Spice container contains log book, pencil and two small trading items. CONGRATULATIONS TO BURCHIL ON FIRST TO FIND! Some people won't let the weather keep them down at all.

I was planning on tackling several of the caches in my Dani-radius, and this was next on my list. I'm almost down to 10 or so now... seems that when you move, it kinda adds a fair number of 'em ToungeOut.

But yeah, there's recently been a number of caches placed on the West side of the river, inside this kinda bend of said aformentioned river. With one having fallen to my geocaching vision several minutes ago (after a half-hour of searching), I headed over to this one hoping for a bit less struggle. Given the past several logs have all shown it as being found, and it had a fairly low difficulty level. It took only a few minutes to get from the previous cache (Iron Lung) to this one, so my mind was still in geocaching-mode. Hopping out of the car, I found myself about 50 meters from the cache.

Walking up, I saw that this was quite a nice park. Y'know, I've never really wandered around this area much before. Well... I've found a few other geocaches that were in the vague vicinity, but haven't gotten the opportunity to look around much. Looks like there's a good several parks around here. Mental note... might be a rather pleasant area of town to live in. Relatively close to Osborne, so easy to get anywhere, and it looks to have pretty nice houses and parks.

Continuing onwards however, I quickly began to zoom in on the cache. Made a slight mistake at one point, thinking an arrow pointing East meant to go West (I have my GPS always show the map with North facing up, so on rare occasion I get confused when not specifically going North), but that was quickly corrected. Despite the fact that it was a beautiful day and it was a fair amount after most people would be off work, the park was surprisingly empty. There was one mother with a child in a stroller, but they were paying attention to something off in another direction.

When I got to the cache's hiding spot, it took me all of about 15 seconds to locate the container. Nice hide... I actually ended up searching what would have been a more bystander-stumble-uponable location first before noticing the better-hidden area that the cache is actually located in Smile. Although... the container that you're using... I've never really considered those waterproof, personally. I could easily be mistaken though, since this has been here since February. I guess the specific hiding spot as well hinders moisture from getting direct access to the container as well sorta.

A quick signing of the logbook and chainmail-ball drop, and the container was placed back into its spot. Another cache found. Thanks for the walk in the park... in more ways than one, I guess... but these types of caches I've always found easy ToungeOut.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
