One of the closest caches to my home, and I've let it go for THIS long before finding it? What's that... too busy? Work? Excuses! Blasphemy! Blascusphemy!

Yeah no, but seriously... it was definitely nice to get out caching again. I've been so busy with everything for the past while that my caching had started to fall off Shock. Today decided to change that a bit. After hitting up a few of the Western caches close to me (gotta clear out that Dani radius a little bit ToungeOut), I swung back around and decided to snag a few of the ones East of me too. This guy I've actually had my eye on since it came out, since it's so conveniently close. My various travels unfortunately have never taken me in this particular direction for a while though... so today I forced my direction this way ToungeOut.

After parking on the nearby road, I followed a path (it seems rather odd going through fairly dense paths at this time of year. No leaves made me somewhat scared I'd be scrached more than usual... but I made it through unscathed) towards the coordinates. Unfortunately, my GPS kept bouncing me around here and there, so I ended up poking around in the wrong place for about 10 minutes. After that, I started expanding my search to other most likely locations, until after another 10 minutes, I eventually found the correct place. It was actually pretty well hidden there. I thought I had already searched that vicinity, ended up passing over it about two times while searching the area over a number of times. However, this one was pretty much one of the last 'feasable' spots, so I kept at it a little bit longer. It turns out to have been a good decision, since I came out victorious in the long run BigSmile. Although, my GPS was telling me that I was about 15 meters North of the coordinates when I found the cache... but that's quite possibly from the tree coverage. Also, the GPS had been bouncing me around a bit earlier in the day, so it may have just been a poor day for accuracy or some such.

In either case, thanks for the trek through the trees. Even in the fall, I still love a good tromp through the brush Smile.
