This park contains a museum of early settler history and artifacts, a campground next to a new outdoor swimming pool, ample picnic areas, a hockey arena and baseball diamonds. The annual Carman Fair runs here each July, as well as a number of other events. Adjacent to the park is a great golf course, as well as a curling rink in winter.

Was out in Carman for the day visiting my sister for birthday-related festivities, and felt I had to go geocaching while I was in the vicinity.

Had with me two people who have never geocached before... my niece, and my fiancee's little sister. Ended up parking in that mini museum-related parking lot, and clambering down/up the steep ditch leading up to the road, so we could go along that trail beside the golf course. Of course, it turns out that the cache is in the park we just climbed up a ditch out of... so we had to go BACK down the steep, steep ditch (glad it's winter... no water to worry about), and wander over towards the cache. A relatively quick find, after circling pretty much the only place it could be hiding. The niece and almost-sister-in-law really quite enjoyed the experience, despite the fact that it was about -20 with the windchill out .

Nonetheless... they were all wanting to trade stuff, so we had some beaded necklace things my niece brought to trade. Took the dice that was in there, and left the necklace (and of course... the signature chainmail ball). Didn't write too much in the logbook, since I forgot my gloves in Winnipeg... thusly my fingers were friggin' freezing . Just my name and what we took/left.
