No Reason for this spot other than to place another easy to find cache. If you are in the area around lunch time on a weekday the Vietnamese restuarant nearby has a great buffet.

What a bizarre place for a park to be. It's obvious that this fenced off little green space is meant to be a park of some sort... but there doesn't seem to be any discernible name for the park. If it IS a park. In either case, I'm quite amused by this little patch of grass in the middle of nowhere. I get the feeling that if I were to live in the area, I could totally see myself installing an outdoor chess board in this area, and then just enjoying the outdoors and practicing until curious bystanders happened to come along and challenge me. Odds are I wouldn't do very good... but I could see me doing something like that .

I either case, having just finished tackling the "Fletcher Arms" cache a bit to the North, I quickly made my way over towards this cache vicinity. I was somewhat stuck biking to and from work today, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to snag a few geocaches on the way. Might as well get some added benefit out of it than the exercise and such. So with my GPS zeroing in on this cache, I soon made my way to the strange little unnamed park. Thinking it would be on the 'inside' so to speak, I wove my bike around into there and put it down near the seemingly obvious area that the cache would be hiding. After all, there's not really... well... anywhere else in here that the cache could possibly hide, so it's a relatively safe assumption of the general area it's in. Locating it however in this particular area was proving to be a tad more difficult.

With the cache size indicating a micro, I had my eyes peeled for anything. I hadn't read the cache description prior to coming here, so I didn't know what specific shape to look for. Eventually, I figured that the 'inside' route would turn out to be fruitless, so I circled around and leaned my bike against the fence on the 'outside' area. Thankfully, there didn't appear to be anyone around, and nary a person could be spotted in any direction. Which is still surprising, because it was quite a nice day out, so I figured people would be wandering all over the place. But, Monday afternoon... maybe they were all still at home relaxing after work. In either case, I eventually located the cache container... but ended up fumbling it, at which point it found its way to the 'inside' area. It could have been reached from either side, really... but at this point, it was ONLY retrievable from the inside .

Circling the bike around yet again, I quickly located the cache container where it had fallen. I just decided to park myself right here and sign up the logbook. The logbook was a bit interesting to get out, but I managed and got everything signed. Dropping a micromail ball into the cache, I replaced everything as found back inside the container, and closed it up again. I was somewhat surprised that it was still dry inside though... for some reason, this type of cap doesn't look like it can hold back moisture. But having read the description... being a cigar tube, those things are specifically designed to hold back moisture... so it just makes sense.

In either case, after circling around yet again, I replaced the cache as found, and headed out on my way. Just in time to go meet up with my wife after work... gotta love it when a plan comes together .
