Last cache of the day for me, and quite unexpectedly (due to the presence of a travelling cache at the nearby event, the third cache of the day Smile. I was actually debating whether or not to go after any caches when I left the event, but Glacier_Ice was apparently going, and eventually Sean and Widget came with. Trag_Cachers, who has already found this one a while back, decided to come along for the walk as well. Glacier_Ice went down to grab his GPS, and Sean, Widget, and myself headed down a minute or so later. Thanks to my awesome navigational skills, I led S&W out the wrong exit of the Johnston Terminal where the event was. We then proceeded to circle the building to the otherwise, where Glacier_Ice and Trag_Cachers was patiently waiting for us.

Mental note... when with others, let anyone that's not me lead the group ToungeOut.

But with all that confusion out of the way, we headed off in the direction of this cache. Were were momentarily slowed down however when the group of us came across the various ice-sculptures (and ice-blocks that will assumingly be turned into ice-sculptures in the near future). Glacier_Ice got his picture taken with a moose, while I was slithering my way through an ice-tunnel. Whether it was actually there for that purpose, or just kids messing around with ice blocks, I have no idea. But it was still fun ToungeOut.

After we were done playing with the ice, we continued onwards, chatting all the way. Not long after, we got near the coordinates. It looks like a fair number of people have visited the cache recently... and looking at the past logs, it looks like there was a pile of them today (with an event nearby? Shock and amaze!). Needless to day, there were a geotrail that led us straight to the cache container. Unfortunately, I was wearing my work shoes and was lacking in instant-winter-boots, and so was unable to comfortably make other 'decoy' trails in the vicinity Frown. Glacier_Ice, Sean, and myself headed down to the cache while Trag_Cachers stood by Widget taking pictures. With the distinct lack of a foot of snow over everything (as Trag_Cachers had described his finding of it), locating it was quite easy. As Glacier_Ice was poking around at the contents, I dropped in a chainmail ball to add to the swag. I believe he traded baseball cards for an eraser. G_I also signed the logbook for the pile of us, saving a bit of time. With the cache replaced, we re-hid it as found and worked our way back onto flat, less-snowy ground. Mission accomplished! Last find of the day for me... but it was after 11:00 at night, so there wasn't going to be all that much more finding today one way or another ToungeOut. I did however take Sean and Widget out to find the nearby 'The Forks' cache to get them a fourth smiley Smile.

Thanks for giving the group of us something to head for after the event. Although I think the group of us stood on the sidewalk and chatted for about 5 times as long as we were actually at the cache itself ToungeOut.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
