My parents (in their 80s) live in the block overlooking the cache (they may be watching out for you!) I placed this one near them so they have something to watch for as they look out their balcony.

Whew... I was a little worried about this cache after having read all of the various logs. I didn't think to take down any of the 'updated' coordinates, but Junglehair mentioned that the original coords are fairly close anyway.

And I can see why they had problems. My GPS kept bouncing me all over the place. Although, in their defense, I eventually located the cache on the outer perimeter of the healthy-sized area the GPS was having me wander. It's strange though... I was rather perplexed as to why my 'ground zero' kept moving around so much, given we're on a hill, and the nearest tall building is about twice as far as I was to the "Look up" cache near Osborne Village... during which I had no problems at all. I dunno... maybe water pipes are running under this hill or something *shrug*.

My wife managed to almost-come with me, given that she came along for the ride, but predictably stayed in the car while I was out. I however made the mistake of turning early, and ended up in the visitor parking of whatever building is just to the East of Chelsea Place II. Deciding to say 'eh, whatever' , I hopped out and made my way toward the coordinates. I quickly discovered that the Bishop Grandin greenway (aka: walking/biking path) ran right behind the cache (did read he description closely enough to see that mentioned earlier), so that took me most-way to the cache. A quick veer to my right, and I found myself near the coords. Thankfully, not a soul was nearby. No kids, no pedestrians, noone walking dogs... dead-silent. Which was strange, since it was a nice day (for mid-November, anyway). I started my search much like many others appear to have, given the abundance of the number of footprints around my first thought. After turning up empty there, I headed to the next possibility. I circled around a bit, checking every tree in the vicinity... still nothing. It looks like others may have done the same.

And then I thought... say... why don't I just follow the footprints to the point of highest concentration?

Unfortunately, I soon realized that many of them were centered around my first point of searching (which I can only assume was ertyu's fixation point, from his logs). Looking around, a healty amount of the footprints were mine, and there didn't appear to be any trailing off anywhere I haven't already looked. Until of course I got close to what would eventually be the cache hiding spot . I noticed a minor concentration of footprints in the snow there, and decided to try my luck. SUCCESS! I had actually searched in a similar manner to this hide a little bit away from here, and even attempted to visually see if one was further away, but hadn't spotted it at the time. If I did, I could have probably shaved off 15 minutes of my search time.

A quick signing and chainmail-balling (of which I was debating whether a full-size would fit, but then there wouldn't be room for the logbook), and I noticed that a pair of kids were coming out to slide down the hill. Looks like I found the cache just in time . Replacing it, I migrated my way out of there. Hopefully the hider's parents had a nice time watching me fruitlessly search everywhere under the sun .

Although, on a random note... you may want to consider changing the logbook in the not too far future. The paper of that particular logbook is quite weak, and even trying to write with the paper on my leg, my pen still punched very easily though it. I ended up having to get my scratch-pad from my geocaching kit to have a solid surface to write on.

Thanks for the cache, which was until now the closest unfound cache to my home (at about 1.5km's). It's been way too long since I found my last one, and my last set of DNF's was making me think that maybe I'd lost my touch .
