One statue we do have however, is this epic one of the Mario cast, obtained as the highest level of prize in one of the Club Nintendo years, in which you get points by registering your games on the site. Now by blind chance one year (2017 or 2018), since I hadn't been registering anything for about 3 years, I did them all at once, and that put me on the top tier of Club Nintendo members for that year! The prize for that was this incredible statue being sent to me for free!!! That was the same year that I traded in my points for the Hanafuda deck, which thankfully I don't need to pull out of it's protective hiding spot (only there until we move again), thanks to this pic having been in the Kabucam gallery. So it was an epic year. Other things collected over time, often as a preorder bonus for games, the Metroid Prime cd holder, inside of which I hold my Super Smash Bros. music cds and that obscure Secret of Mana game music cd that I found online ages ago. Unfortunately I've lost the jewel cases and liner books from trying to shrink my life down to as small as possible back in the main struggle days, but I still have the cds. We got that Metroid: Other M art folio, and the rest was more or less little pickups over time. A small handful of Pokémon cards, a few tiny Pokemon toys. But Kabutops of course, we have a handful of those, and I've fairly regularly checked if there was more available online. The plush is actually produced by Nintendo, as is the battle figure set, which are pretty awesome, and which I actually found in-store! WOW was I excited having seen that on the shelf, did NOT expect to run into one in the wild (lol). And of course, my Kabutroid avatar is based on Kabutops. And Metroid. And we do have one other little piece, a Kabuto patch is on the backpack. And speaking of Metroid (again, surprise most of my memorabilia is based on that or Pokémon!), we have three Amiibo's, and one lil Samus statue sent to me by hax0r jax, as an exchange for my having sent him a printed Zebeth. He also sent me that Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective book, which has all kinds of amazing Metroid art inside of it, THANK YOU HAX0R JAX! And that little Samus card, a 3DS AR Augmented Reality card, the only one from the set that I kept, because Metroid of course. There's also a little Maru Mari ball form Samus, which you can see in the Collections image. Also in the miscellaneous memorabilia is a handful of saved games, that don't so much fit into here as they're not actively on display, the Metroid ones being mine (also that Prime Trilogy in the Collections pic), and the Playstation games are Abby's. What will come next, only time will tell, but it's a pretty obvious certainty that more will be added below. Yah this first section is really image heavy for the amount of text, and I don't know of a good way of adjusting that without making the images like postage-stamp small, so just click here to bounce down to the new stuff. | |
