Should be a quick find in LaBarriere Park.

You might ask yourself: Why is junglehair placing new caches in Manitoba? Well, guess what - I'm BAAACCCCKKKKK (and now she's going gone to Our Nation's Capital)! What else would you do on your 1st day back in town, but go out and place a new cache?

This is a 30-cal ammo can (transported all the way from New York) filled with assorted kid-friendly trade items. It may be covered in snow in the winter, but if you dig around the logical places, you should be able to find the cache.

Found it 11/14/2006 by Kabuthunk
Decided to tackle this one after taking on the Walrus cache. I already knew that this was on the other side of the river, but I was kinda crossing my fingers that there would be another bridge across somewhere before I got to across from the cache. *sigh* Nope.

Had some fun walking back to that bridge to cross though. Kept on grabbing big blocks of wood or branches or stumps and lobbing them onto the ice to see if I could shatter it. Man... kinda surprised the ice froze this good by this point in the year. The first few just bounced, a bigger one just kinda put a bit of a dent in the ice, and I managed to get one that punched a hole in the ice, but bounced away after punching said aformentioned hole. Well... at least I got it once. Take THAT, ice! Kabuthunk: 1, River: NOTHING! Or maybe 5... depending on how you look at it ToungeOut.

Yay for ammo cans! Love those things. Again, on the way back from this one, played the 'hurl lumps of wood at the ice' game. Managed to find a log that punched CLEAN through the ice! MWAHAHAHA! Yeah, I SO pwned that river! Take that, Mother Nature. I pwned you GOOD Evil.

Wanted to tackle the other caches in the area, but looks like the gates to Camp Amisk was closed... so those will have to wait until another time when the place is open, or I have time to hike for a while. Wasn't sure if I was allowed in there since the gate was closed, so I played it safe.

Took: Nothing. Saw the TB, but since I already picked one up... I tend to go with the 'only carry one at any given time' theory.
