Well, to say the least, I was not alone in finding this one. Was on a trek with my fiancee's sister, and three of her cousins. The oldest was 14, and it tapered down to the youngest being 10. I've taken my fiancee's sister out geocaching once before, so she knew what was going on (and still enjoyed it and was looking forward to going out again... YAY! Another geocacher has been hooked!). The others were quite entranced and amazed at the fact that all over the city (and world in general) there's little hidden containers.

Don't worry... I already gave them the 'stuff that's in a cache is to be TRADED. You've gotta leave something as good as it if you want to take something out' speech . They seemed to understand and had no qualms. Then again, I already informed them beforehand that this was a micro, so it's a safe bet that there wouldn't be any tradables. They didn't mind. They were getting to go out and FIND stuff. And they live near here... and are quite familiar with this area. They were just amazed at the fact that they've walked by that cache location dozens, if not hundreds, of times since it was placed and never knew something was there. Sounds like we might have yet another few geocachers-in-the-making under way .

So yeah, they were basically hanging on my every word when they asked me something about geocaching, or how many there were, or how many I'd found, etc, etc. It was weird. Like... when did kids start liking me? It's almost weirding me out... I never saw myself as being the kid-friendly type .

Then again, before going out, showing them my random "bar tricks" of juggling and making string figures probably didn't help matters either. Who'da thunk kids like string figures! BUT... that's another whole ball of yarn altogether (pun intended ).

And yet again... this was another one of Kabuthunk's "totally not suspicious at all" situations. White adult walking down a path being followed by four black kids. This doesn't look strange, does it? Well... my fiancee's black, as are her cousins... so it goes without saying. But from an outsider point of view... that's one of those "something just doesn't quite seem right" type of things . But... it was immensely fun. I quite enjoyed having them along for the journey.

When we got to the cache location, I basically said "It's somewhere over there", and the two boys of the troupe just about jumped at where my hand was pointing, looking around and poking and prodding and whatnot. The two girls of the group had more of a "watch and see" attitude. Then again, with the two boys scouring a small area, I don't think anyone else would have been able to get close . So, the cache was quickly found and signed. Hence, when you see my entry in the logbook, it's listing myself and four other names. They were ALSO quite fascinated by the fact that I wrote their names IN the logbook to begin with. Yep... definitely got some more geocachers on the way over time .

Thanks for the excellent cache location, and allowing me to take my soon-to-be cousins-in-law and sister-in-law out geocaching on a nice afternoon .
