Fifth and last cache of the day! I was just heading back to the area this afternoon to reattempt the nearby 'Game Then Set' cache, and figured I might as well tackle this guy as well. At which point, this is actually a really nice location for one of these caches (well, ignoring the fact that many a motorist would prefer if none of these types of intersections, and thus caches, would exist ToungeOut). It's right close to a frisbee-golf course in the park here! I didn't even know Winnipeg had a frolf course, but maybe people visiting this cache will discover it through geocaching like I did Smile. This is actually the second-last ICU cache in my Dani-Radius. Man.. I've been going through these things like a hot knife through butter ToungeOut.

Not that that's stopping me from going after the ICU series one way or the other... I think every other one is outside my Dani-Radius anyway.

But yes... another beautiful day to be outside. A little bit chillier than last week... but still without-a-jacketable. And what's this? For the second time ever... not only that, but consecutively... the cache is on the same side of the road as me! It's a miracle ToungeOut! No, for a while this series had it in for me... it's nice to see that the odds are balancing out. Statistically, it had to give in eventually ToungeOut.

The funny part is that I actually spotted the cache container before finding 'Game Then Set'. As we were stopped at the red light, I was able to spy the cache container, and showed it to my wife. This cache series has changed me, actually. I can't go past one of these dreaded intersections without attempting to spot the cache container. Gotta be careful... one of these days that's going to get me into trouble ToungeOut.

So given I had already spotted the container, I prepared myself on the walk through the park to it. I turned off my GPS to save battery... having changed the icon for this waypoint to 'found' before I was even close, palmed a nanomail ball, and had my pen waiting in my pocket. To make things easier, the traffic was working in my favour. There was a gap in the traffic since the light just turned green, but noone from the previous set of lights had shown up yet. I was able to make the find quickly and easily. Signing the logbook and tossing the ball in (this cache series has made me make like... 20 more of those nanomail balls. The most I ever had prior to this series coming out was about 7 ToungeOut), I closed it back up. Traffic decided not to play quite as nicely at this point, so I relaxed a bit and waited for traffic to be clear enough for my likings. After replacing the cache container, I headed on my way.

But one added note... I noticed something a bit odd about this one. It would appear that THIS cache container has been "blinded", so to speak. All the other cache containers in the ICU series had it's own little way of watching you find it, but this one was definitely blind. I can see where it USED to be able to watch you, but alas... looks like it'll have to go by sound and vibrations these days ToungeOut.

Thanks for the series! Still having fun locating these little guys BigSmile.

Although, word of warning. If my wife should ever meet you, I suggest you run before she beats the living crap out of you. I'm pretty sure she's grown a whole new level of annoyance for me saying "There's a geocache!" and pointing every time we pass through one of these corners ToungeOut.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and nanomail ball
