Another ICU in my list o' finds. How sweet it is . I actually didn't even initially realize that this cache was over here until just prior to going after it. I had gone out today to specifically go after We come in blue, followed by going to Walmart to pick up some cactus soil (and also a new cactus while I was there... one of them cute little guys that have a green stem and a big orange ball on top ). As I neared Walmart, my GPS was still on, and another cache came into it's view. What's this? By an intersection? Why, I think I've stumbled upon another ICU cache .

Quickly checking the name, I confirmed I was right! So after doing my Walmart thing, I parked at the far back side of the parking lot and worked my way across the field. At which point I soon realized that the rain from the past few days has made the ditch just a little bit less crossable in work shoes . So I trudged all the way back across the field, the parking lot, around the main entrance, and way back up to the coordinates again. Finally, I had reached the intersection, and had to plan a way to look inconspicuous. With this much traffic around here, it would take a bit of timing.

To aid in my hasty cache retrieval, I dug around in my sack o' chainmail balls for a nanomail ball ahead of time and checked for my pen. Not wanting to lose the nanomail ball in my bag again (those tiny guys can be a bit fun to locate in a sack full of tons of other chainmail balls of varying size), I did what any man in such a situation would do.

I popped one of my balls into my mouth, grabbed my pen, and headed out!

Given that I figured the cache would be in the 'middle', if you know what I mean, I had to time things nicely. Delaying a bit when the crosswalk guy gave me the go-ahead, followed by feigning an untied shoe to stop me at the right area gave me the opportunity I needed. Thankfully as well, there was a bright, shiny hubcap that I could ALSO feign interest in (well, I was mildly interested in it regardless ) while making the find. A quick signing of the logbook here and a nanomail ball there, and I rolled things back up and put the cache container back together again.

Unfortunately, a car was waiting to turn RIGHT where I needed to be to put it back. So I once again feigned interest in the hubcap (a lot less interesting the second time around ), and at the same time replaced the cache container. Mission accomplished! Waiting for the crosswalk guy to change in my favour again, I worked my way back to the car.

Although on that note, it looks like they're just about getting ready to lay the pavement on the road extention. About friggin' time they 4-laned that stretch all the way up to Kenaston. I've always been confused as to why a number of roads are 4-lane for like... most of it, then in one small area near the end, it decides to bottleneck down to 2-lanes, which eventually re-opens to 4-lanes sometime after that. Bah... city planners... I shake my head.

Regardless... thanks for the fun cache. It was fun to come up with a plan to do it inconspicuously, and have it carry out nice and flawlessly . I'm still loving the ICU series .

PS: Oh, on a random note... in the cache description it says a pencil works best? I switched to a pressurized, waterproof pen a while ago, and I'll never turn back. AWESOME !
