There is room for SMALL trade items. PLEASE do not PULL the cache from it's resting place, but retrieve and replace with care. This cache has been altered from it's original state. Once a 2 stage puzzle cache by the same name, it has now become a single stage. It may be familiar to some, but new to others. There should be little problem finding this one. In the words of TurdlEggs, regarding the original puzzle: "I tried to be the *butterfly*. I narrowed it down to 20 potential clues and possible riddle solutions from stage one (we’ll call this value n) and came up with P(n,r) = n!/(n-r)! possible solutions where r is the number of coordinate snippets being solved for (4 in this case). That limited the choices to 116,280. Even with rejecting coordinates outside of Manitoba it was still a long list. Eventually I came to realize the puzzle was an homage to the great drug induced rock ballads of the 60’s. Logic could not be applied here" Turdles are TOO funny... ;) For your interest sake, google "For The Roses" 1972 track 9, to find the inspiration for this cache! The Lyrics are too GROOVY man! BOOYAH! The "long wanted to go after, but didn't get around to it" cache is found! Well... not the puzzle version, but the end result is evidently the same one way or the other .

Unfortunately, a scant few days prior to me planning to attempt the puzzle cache of the same name by *butterfly*, it was replaced by this one and archived. It saves me the puzzling aspect, anyway. Which is probably for the best, since my music tastes tend to dwell around the 'death metal' categories... thus limiting my knowledge of folk music (or whatever category the subject of this cache falls under. Wikipedia gives 5 different genres . However, the song linked to in the hint upon logging this was quite nice though .

So anyway, I had been planning to tackle this new cache shortly after it came out (sorry I couldn't get to it sooner *butterfly*... busy, busy busy), if not purely because the name of the cache piqued my curiosity. Hence, today after work I made specific time to go after it. Right after work, I jumped in the car and zig-zagged my way over to St. Mary's road. I must admit, I didn't realize it was this far away. That didn't stop me at all, or even slow me down... but had I been on a bike like I had originally planned at one point, that may have been a bit of a cycle. Luckily however, I was in a car, quickly making my way toward the turnoff.

Having never been down this road after turning off, I was mildly amused at the fact that it was along the peak of a hill. What can I say... you live in the prairies, any hill is interesting . Zooming down into the parking lot (I assume for the boat-launch... no clue HOW a boat-launch could warrent a parking lot this big... but here it is), I hopped out and quickly followed a direct path to the coordinates. At which point, I was crossing my fingers that the little blue line showing on my GPS's topo map wasn't quite so blue at this time of year. Sadly... it was. I mean sure... there's a road/trail/gravel thing going across it a little to the East... but that's not how Kabuthunk rolls! Walking about 15 feet from the direct-path, I found an area about a foot narrower than before and decided to take a leap of faith. Wearing an ankle-length trenchcoat no less.

Yeah... it's been getting cool enough that I've put on my fall coat. I'm weak .

So that hindered my legs quite a bit, but I managed to make it with my feet still dry. Perhaps a bit of mud on the bottom of my shoe, but I'll live. Continuing the rest of the way, I quickly found the cache . A bit of a hint *butterfly* gave me earlier actually ended up helping me, as I initially started searching in the wrong manner. Creative cache container (the one on the inside, mainly ). But yeah... the outer camouflage is definitely needed, as I doubt the inner cache is all that waterproof. I dropped in a geocoin and TB, signed the logbook, and clamped everything shut. I managed to properly close the outer cache, but yeah... in winter that could get interesting. May need some tweaking sometime in the future.

Upon leaving the area, I was once again met with my old nemesis... water . At least when I'm wearing my work-shoes and clothes, anyway. Going back to my initial jump point, I grabbed my trench up and launched myself over it again. A bit of a close call, but still dry . A trek back to the car later, and I left the area victorious!

Thanks for the cache in the interesting area. Very scenic for Manitoba. It's got hills... a lake (sorta)... and that currently-dry mini-stream path in the woods there was very curious. Had I been dressed for it, I may have followed it for a bit to see where it specifically went. So all in all, a definitely fun cache, much like all the *butterfly* caches I've done .

Heh... 'you turn me on'... still like the name. Works for the cache in several ways!

I'll be trying to find some time to get out there tomorrow, so hopefully I can, and am able to do something to secure the cache. I've got a whole ton of random supplies in my geocaching bag, so odds are I can come up with something .

Ah, so the traditional has already rematerialized over HERE. For the same curiosity purposes I posted in the puzzle's note, I will have to find my way over to this one sometime in the near future .
