Very nice first cache, I must admit. As far as 'first cache placed' goes, this is probably one of the most scenic I've seen yet . Although, a quick look at your profile indicates that this is the fourth cache to be placed, but given that each is listed as under a different person's name, it's safe to assume each individual thought up the location.

That said, awesome job Brenda . Very, VERY pleased with the location actually. You'll find out why momentarily... or in a few minutes, depending on how fast you read .

By the way, random note: I tend to be known for making my online logs quite 'story-like'... so hope you enjoy .

In either case, as I parked on the street, I noticed that there appeared to be some kind of sporting event happening in the field there. Not sure what sport, since I couldn't see the ball offhand... but it was pink versus blue (if I'm not mistaken). GO PINK! I physically saw you before the blues, ergo you're better! They were however several hundred meters away from my path from the car to the cache, so I wasn't worried about them thinking I'm some weirdo wandering over to watch underage kids play sports. If they even saw me, they didn't acknowledge it.

A quick trudge across the corner of the field and I found myself at a walking trail. Mental note... it could be quite relaxing to take a walk down here sometime. Much like the past several caches today, it seemed very quiet for it being such a nice day out. Delving into the trees, I discovered there was an interesting looking bike-path as well! Larger mental note... could be entertaining to bike down said path.

Again, luckly noone was going down either path, so I could easily home in on the coordinates in peace. I actually ended up looking in several other locations first before realizing that the cache was in a bit less... accessable a location. I actually had no clue what the terrain difficulty was for this cache (although I probably would have put it to 3 personally... but I'm very agile with things like this), so I was first checking what would essentially be 1 or 1.5 tops terrain locations. Several seconds later, I got into the more difficult area, and quickly saw the container. I was quite pleased with the location. Had I grown up here, I could see that little spot being an awesome kinda fort/hiding spot. Although I'm sure my mom would have killed me for playing there .

Anyway, after retrieving the cache, I sat back and signed the log. And then I sat back and relaxed for a good five minutes straight. It was extremely quiet there, and I could hear almost nothing but the lapping of waves on the water. It was just so relaxing to sit there staring at the river, listening to the water. Reminded me very much of camping when I was a kid .

See, I told you it depended on how fast you read .

But after sitting back for a bit, several kids went by behind me on bikes, kinda shaking me out of the moment. Realzing that I didn't have all that much time before I had to be places, I grudgingly got up and put the cache back into its hiding spot. Back to reality I suppose... although escaping it by the water there was probably the most relaxing thing that's happened to me this week .

So thanks again for the amazing cache. Loved the location, loved the hiding spot, loved the bit of difficulty needed to get to the cache! We definitely need to see more caches around Winnipeg that are much like this one .
