WOOH! I accomplished it. I wanted to find at least one geocache today specifically. I had originally contemplated going out right after midnight to find this one, but after poking around at nearby caches, any that I hadn't previously found looked to be in a bushy, foresty area. Yeah... the idea of poking around in the forest in the dead of night wasn't workin' too well with me. Thus... since I couldn't sleep well that night, I woke up at about 6:00am. Thusly... at approximately 6:15 am, I found the cache! And yes... very important to me that I found it today.

Oh, by the way, I got married today .

I actually got married approximately 7 hours after having found this cache. Mind you... those 7 hours weren't exactly just kicking back relaxing. I had to stuff myself into a tux, had the photographer take a pile of pictures of myself and my groomsmen (I can attach a few pics that others took, but the actual photographer ones will be ready in several weeks), head out to the church, and listen to the priest until we said our vows.

But yes... it was a beautiful day for caching. Oh, and getting married, I guess ). We were staying at the Norwood Hotel that night, my best man and I (since the reception was there). Being nervious and such for some mysterious reason, possibly associated with occurances which would take place later that day, I woke up early. And what does one do at 6:00am?

Go caching!

So... having thought ahead, I grabbed my geocaching kit and headed off. "Rowing On The Red" was 460 meters from our hotel room if memory serves me correctly, so me and my best man hoofed it over to the coordinates. When we got there, the sun was creeping above the treeline, giving us plenty of light to work with. I was definitely happy that we went out in the morning instead of last night. The sun gave us some nice warmth, and y'know... we weren't being stabbed and scoured by branches in the middle of the night.

And I dunno... a DNF on your wedding day has GOT to be bad luck in some form or another .

A little bit of trail-walking later, and we were at the coordinates. Took a good few minutes to find it though. Remembering the cache description (yay for cachemate and a palm pilot), I had a bit of a hint as to where to look... and lo and behold, I came across a cache hiding spot . I was a little worried about a DNF for those first few minutes, but in the end, we had a cache.

LAST CACHE FOUND WHILE BEING 'SINGLE'! WOOH!!!

Ignoring of course the 3 or so years of living common-law... but that's besides the point .

But yes... thanks for the cache. The hike there defintely eased some of my nervousness and anxiousness, so it was all good .
