After tackling the 'Tickle Trunk' cache at the GPS, I was still raring to go for more caching... and I've had my eye on this one pretty much immediately since it came out ToungeOut.

Hence... put the pedal to the... umm... lower position, followed by the other pedal doing likewise... I biked on up Bishop Grandin towards the coordinates. I was quite pleased with this particular bike-ride too... not really any psychos on the road today. Sure, I was riding on the shoulder... but that's not exactly a barrier for some typical Winnipeg driver (aka: horrible driver) from glancing away from the road, or chatting on their cellphone, or whatnot and swerving into me. There was strangely one truck full of... for lack of a better word... jerks who decided to yell at me as they were driving past (no clue what they said... was moreso paying attention to the road)... but that's better than being side-swiped ToungeOut.

But I digress. After a rather pleasant bike-ride towards the coordinates, I came around the corner of Bishop and Kenaston there, only to see one of those trucks that sell corn out of the back of them Frown.

"Well" I though, "with my luck, the geocache will end up being like... 20 feet from him, and then I'll have to abandon the search." However, luck was with me. Checking the GPS, I discovered that the coordinates were for a good bit further away from him, and in fact hidden by many a shrubbery BigSmile. Time to get to work.

It didn't take me long to spot the cache container itself, and I batted around a few ideas on how to go about retrieving it. The first method (quickly abandoned) would have had a really high risk of the cache container being lost entirely... followed by another idea that I almost resorted to, before coming up with the uber-plan.

Y'see, given the name of this cache, I had no clue what to expect when I got here. Hence... I loaded up my geocaching bag almost as much as when I went after Blitzing this one, better bring a bucket. When I was first tossing ideas around, I had actually forgotten about all the tools and whatnot I had with me ToungeOut. Thankfully, that changed.

Hence... said uber-plan has gotten me to come to the conclusion that the... umm... "extra assistance" that I
used to obtain the cache is now becoming a permanant addition to my geocaching bag. It's just TOO useful in too many situations.

Several seconds later, and the cache was in my hands. No climbing, fumbling, fighting, or other unpleasantness required for this one BigSmile. Looks like there's all kinds of interesing stuff in here, too. I contemplating trading something for one of those 'hot hand' things, or whatever they're called... but ended up passing on it. In retrospect... I wish I hadn't, and traded one of my various tradeables for it Frown. Oh well... they're somewhat common, so I'm sure I'll come across another one soon enough Smile.

But it was a fun cache to go after, and an interesting method of making it difficult to obtain Smile.

Took: Nothing (sadly)
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball
