My altar

Finally and at long last created

Kabutroid's altar, a white, low table set into a space between a wall radiator and a sewing desk, containing a smudge pan, singing bowl, stones saying peace and faith, a sweetgrass braid and sage, tarot and oracle decks, and beside are spiritual books, angels, and a kneeling towel is before it.

After a long, long, long time, since my becoming Spiritual in like... late 2016 to early 2017 abouts, I finally have an altar. Ever since the start, whatever spiritual items I've had (my tingsha cozy was made in 2017, so since sometime a bit before that) have either sat on the corner of a dresser, or on a windowsill, or, for the past 3 years unfortunately, packed into nylon bags to wait for me to get to England. And finally, FINALLY, I have something that I can actually call an altar, something I can kneel in front of and pray, chant, sing, smudge, use my singing bowls, speak to my Deities, look over everything for what I might need and what I might want, IT'S HERE!

Thank you little end table that I lopped down to make it kneeling height, and also giving me a smaller side-table to place stuff as well. You're not fancy, you're not big enough, but you'll do for now! I do have grand visions of a darkened wood corner table with elaborate mouldings on the shelves, a wood-mesh shelf, and a longer side-table to hold my other things not actively in use, but this... this will do for now ^_^ /\

The lower table, to the left of the main altar and beneath the sewing desk, containing Kabutroid's sundance pendant, her Athena stick, a secondary singing bowl, her spoons Timothy and China to whom she gave Spirits, her homemade knitting needles, a turtle for Upulnesayay, casting bones, a mobius coil of chainmaille, and a paper from the Spirits in a ziplock bag beneath it. Beneath the shelf are a sweatlodge towel, her ribbon skirt, and two large clam shells for smudging. Her book of shadows, Witch's Bible, and a the seed pouch Celine is hanging at over the sewing desk leg.

On the table is a smudge pan on a glass dish, a whistle, a sweatlodge stone, a singing bowl, a glass bear, a mjolnir hammer, and two stones saying peace and faith. On the first shelf are smudge wands, a sweetgrass braid, sage, incense, and incense holders. On the bottom shelf are tarot and oracle decks, and divination sets of casting pieces and runes are in bags behind them. An altar tucked into a corner of the room.
