Winter Friendly

The cache is hidden by the Manitoba Electrical Museum. This cache was originally part of the Scrabble game series.

About This Cache

This carefully camouflaged, winter friendly cache can be reached from inside or outside the museum. The cache has high muggle activity from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays. Keep an eye on the trellis behind you because there could be smoking muggles watching you, and try not to look suspicious! You may take the cache to your car to sign the logbook. Satellite reception may be poor near the cache due to the adjacent structures.

An archived cache by skaven that was located near here was my very first find, and I enjoyed it so much I dove headlong into GeoCaching and have been positively hooked ever since!

If you haven't been to the Manitoba Electrical Museum before, and you've got a couple of hours to spare, you're in for a treat. The museum is located in a terminal station built in 1931 and is chock full of beautifully restored artifacts, dioramas and a wealth of history about electrification in Manitoba.

The museum hours are:

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday - Thursday (excluding holidays)

Admission is free!

Congratulations to the following Scrabble winners:

Well, decided to give it another attempt before work, since the hint pretty much told me I was completely wrong last time. Thought I might have some issues with bystanders, but it appears that the museum is open from 1:00pm to whenever, and I got there at about noon.
Seriously... what kind of museum is only open from 1:00pm and onwards?
Anyhoo... took about 60 seconds of hunting before I came across the cache. Didn't even bring the GPS with me, since I had the general location. Then again, I'm lucky the GPS even still works, since I accidentally whacked the screen against a rock during yesterday's hunt ToungeOut. Good thing it's tough! Helluva lot better than the 20 someodd minutes I was poking around the rock pile yesterday. However, I'm guessing that the cache is slightly out of place. From looking at the container, I'm guessing the duct tape came off that had something to do with it. Wish I had a way to fix it at the moment, but I had to be at work quite soon. Hence, the cache is still in it's approximate location, but just... not quite.
So... only one 'scrabble' series left to go, but given my DNF post on 'Toilers Park', I'm thinking I'll have to wait for it to be migrated slightly (hopefully not archived... I want to get the full scrabble series ToungeOut.
Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and chainmail ball (see profile)

Must have been poking around that rock pile for about 15 minutes, and I can safely say that absolutely nothing is there. After coming home and reading the hint, as well as previous posts... it would appear that others have had the same luck as I did. Ah well... the hint might help me for next time. Man, today was a strikeout and then some. Was spending most of the day doing other stuff, and only had time to try to polish off the 'scrabble' series. Failed on both of 'em today Frown.
