This traditional cache
is hidden along a new section of the
Trans Canada Trail in south Winnipeg. This cache was originally
part of the Scrabble game series.

About This Cache
This cache should remain winter friendly and is hidden in the
forest along the new
Trans Canada Trail. This part of the forest is full of
magnificent, healthy Bur Oak trees and should remain above the
water in spring. There is no parking along Cloutier Drive, but on a
side street close by. Snowshoes or skis will make the short trek to
this cache easier in the winter.

23/09/2006 By Kabutroid Tackled this guy after doing the 'stick 'em up' cache nearby. And MAN, I've gotta say... this is quite possibly my favorite cache to do. In walking from the other cache to this one, I crossed not one, but SEVERAL patches of alfalfa field/long grass.
.....Yes, well, I realize this may not sound all that too entertaining to most... but I grew up living beside, and playing in, a fair-sized field of pretty much the exact same ratio of alfalfa-to-long-grass as I saw here. Ahh, the smell and the sight... brings back so many memories.
So anyhoo... I quickly found the cache (which is really visible... kinda surprised some random kids haven't found it. Thanks for the excellent trip down memory lane though . And an ADDED bonus to this cache! There was a swag... of a STRETCHY PLASTIC FROG! Man, I had one of these as a kid, and played with it a lot. It's like... an inch and a half long, but it could stretch to more than a foot. This one's a slightly less stretchy due to time or being there for whatever amount of time or whatnot... but I just HAD to have it. Didn't have any swag with me, so I left money. When in doubt... the swag of green (or in this case, several pieces of... loonie-coloured... coin... yeah). Yeah, I know I can find this at any toy store for like... 50 cents, but when am I going to remember to get one if I even go to said store? Took: Stretchy toy frog (eheheheheheh... FUN!) Left: Logbook entry, chainmail ball (see profile) and two loonies.
