Not Available at all times  Available during winter  Poison plants  Ticks  Parking available  Drinking water nearby  Public restrooms nearby  Picnic tables nearby

Located in a small forested area within Assiniboine Park.
Lots of free parking available. The simplest place is the main Zoo parking lot.

The only trails within the forest are those made by deer and cachers. The cache is within 75 to 200 meters of roadways in all directions.

The cache is an 8 liter bucket on the ground at the base of a thin aspen tree and surrounded by deadfall. There is a white cord wrapped around the tree like a vine at 6 feet above the ground to make the cache findable when the snow flies.

Happy hunting and enjoy the park!

Wandered along with PMD to help him find this cache. Then again, this cache isn't typically that hard to find (although I'm guessing that without a GPS, PMD must have had a bit of a frustrating time previously). The cache may have been covered in snow, but it quickly showed itself to our digging.

No other TBs to grab up from here, aside from the one that PMD just dropped in there. I figured I'd give it a bit of a chance to sit inside an actual cache. Especially since I had no clue when I'd next see a cache able to hold that monstrosity ToungeOut.

Cool! I never knew that mini train track was inside of here. Don't think I ever went on it as a kid... but who knows, my memory can be iffy at times ToungeOut. In either case, was a somewhat quick find. Took me a second to figure out how to get the container out of it's hiding spot, but wasn't hard. Although, I would have put the size of this cache as a largest-size... but that's just me. Then again, I haven't hid any caches yet, so I'll read into that before I do. In either case... saw all the TB's, but due to very lack of space with me, I just took the "Little D" travel bug. I'll get him a good chunk of mileage when I head out to my parent's place in the country tomorrow :}
