This cache is located near the Dufferin Historical Museum. The museum is open in the summer months and by appointment during other times of the year. The cache is in a small magnetic container and contains a FTF certificate, log book and pencil.

The Dufferin Historical Society has many interesting items located inside including 24 water color paintings by the late A.A. Brooke. The last cache of the day for myself and team Blagden, and it seems to have taken about 1/100 the time of the other caches. While the others put up one heck of a fight in attempting to not be found, this one decided to give up its location relatively quickly.

Team Blagden and myself were going on a nice walk through town on the gorgeous day, picking up the several new geocaches that had sprouted since the last time we got to cache up Carman. The first one was difficult, but eventually gave up its location. The second one was a rather disappointing DNF, which finally led us to this one. It came at a time when all four of us were
a) at our hottest
b) running out of something to drink to alleviate (a)
c) at our tiredest

Point (c) was doubly so for my two nieces, who have apparently been in dance classes basically every day for the past while. So they were tired as hell to begin with, never mind having just walked probably over 3km's to get to this point. Combine that with a disappointing DNF, a ton of mosquitoes (especially passing near that stagnant outbranch of the river by the golf course), and of course the hot, hot sun. It was in actuality an awesome day outside... especially for October... but at this point we would have killed for some clouds and a cool breeze . Upon nearing the coordinates, I was a bit off with my initial 30-meters-away assessment, and initially had us searching in the slightly wrong area. After discovering my mistake, my brother-in-law of team Blagden took about 5 seconds to walk towards the ACTUAL ground zero and came up with the find. Whew... that was fast! It was kinda nice to finally be granted a quick find after the others today. The mosquitoes were of course still quite rampant, but I managed to sign the logbook for both of us and drop in my signature chainmail ball. Replacing the container, we headed out from the area and back towards the sweet, cool house.

However, once we got most-way to the pool, I suddenly realized that I had a quite small travelbug that I needed to drop off! Given it's going to BC, Carman was at least a jump in the right direction, and it was small enough that I figured it'd fit in the cache. So despite the tired, the sun, etc, I jogged back to the cache, and quite easily found room for both the logbook, travelbug, and pencil. Mission completely accomplished at this point, even if it required me to visit the cache site twice in five minutes . With the cache replaced once again from whence it came, I jogged back to the rest of the group which had continued walking towards the house. Gotta say, I'm kinda proud that I was able to jog the entire way without having to slow down... figured I was more out of shape than that. Apparently not .

Thanks for giving us the convenient geocache, nicely on the way back home (sorta) from the last one. I've always kinda wondered why there wasn't a lot more caches in this massive park, so I'm glad to see that at least one has found its way into here .
