There will be a bit of bushwhacking close to the cache. D/T rating raised a bit for the extra bushwhacking since the ice storm damage.

Near Highway 7 and Kennedy Rd. The cache is s small taped Lock N' Lock container that contains a logbook, pen, and several swag items. The cache is large enough to fit geocoins, small swag items and possibly some small travel bugs. Please re-hide and re-cover the cache as you found it.

Awesome! This would be my first cache found in Ontario ever! About time, too... I live in Winnipeg, which is relatively close to the border of Ontario, comparatively. So all this week I've been spending a week's worth of vacation in Toronto, although from Thursday on I'll be out best-manning my brother's wedding . But before that... vacation time on Toronto!

I've only been to Toronto a scant few times in the past. Most of those times are directly because my brother has lived in or around the area for the past like... 8 years or so. Unfortunately, since I've picked up Geocaching several years ago, I haven't had a chance to head back out this way since then. Can't go wrong with a wedding to bring relatives from all sorts of different locations together. My wife and I spent the first few days shopping around and relaxing in general at a hotel vaguely nearby this cache. What unfortunately made deciding what caches to go after more difficult was the fact that I had forgotten to upload map data for... well... here . Being COMPLETELY unfamiliar with the area... or the city as a whole... we had no clue what roads to go down, what areas are safe to wander around in, and general, anything about anything. Couple this with us not having rented a car, so we were using public transportation for everything (which for Toronto and area is confusing as hell for those not familiar with it, by the way ). This kinda limited where we could head to.

However, today specifically my wife had booked a manicure/pedicure at a shop nearby the mall... nearby the cache. Since I had an hour to kill, I decided to hoof it over to this cache. Not having read the cache description before going after it, I figured from the name where the location would likely be, and hoped that the area would be... vacant, so to speak. Luck was with me, and the only thinks nearby were a guy mowing the field, and a family and child playing on the play structures on the opposite side of the field to the cache. A quick walk later, and I was able to dive into the trees to head towards ground zero.

There didn't appear to be any 'natural' camouflage over the cache, so it was quite an easy find. After quickly signing the logbook and dropping in a signature chainmail ball (and also a Terracotta Solder travelbug), I closed up the cache and attempted to cover it with what little was nearby. First cache in Ontario... complete . Thanks for having a nice, convenient geocache located relatively close to the mall for vacationers like myself to go after . It was also a convenient size for the travelbug now inside.
