1 Logs: Found it 1

Found it 09/09/2007 By Kabutroid
Well, I can honestly say that I didn't expect in the slightest to get a FTF BigSmile. I was just driving back from a family camping trip at Big Whiteshell and decided to get a few caches on the way home. Tackling a few caches here and there, I noticed that there was a cache pretty close to the Hadashville one. However, upon selecting it on the GPS, I noticed something weird.

Y'see, I have GSAK set to send an indication of what the last 4 logs were (Found, Not found, Note, Maintenance, etc) to the cache description on the GPS. When selecting any typical cache, I'll see usually FFFF, FFDF, DNMF, stuff like that... but on THIS one, I see OOOO. "Strange," I thought... "I thought 'O' meant that there wasn't an entry yet. Ok, well I'm curious... I'm pulling out the palm pilot to see what type of log the last four were." Yeah... it was indeed confirmed that there was no logs as of yet.

Driving up to the cache... what's this? A truck in the parking lot? It hasn't been found in almost a week, and by blind unluck, the FTF was taken a scant few seconds before I got there? But luck was with me, as noone was standing near the coordinates, and I didn't see anyone at all during the entire time. Thankfully, since it was Sunday, in fall, in the afternoon... the place was dead empty (well, except for that truck that I never saw the owner of). At least I got to claim my FTF in complete privacy and silence Smile.

Thanks for not only giving me a cache to go after on the long drive back from Big Whiteshell, and the FTF to go with it BigSmile. And to think that I was contemplating taking the #15 home. Definitely glad I decided to take the #11 a little bit further to the #1, and snag me some sweet geocache BigSmile.
