Decided to swing by this cache just before going to work on this snowy morning. Of course, as it always is whenever you're on a timeline and need to be somewhere at X time, not only was traffic ridiculously slow, but I ALSO hit every possible red-light along the way .

But... this didn't deter me. One agonizingly slow trip to Markham later, and I was looking for parking. Luckly, there was actually a fair amount left. Pulling up on... whatever road that is that goes behind the hospital... I park and get out of the car. It would be at approximately this moment in which I realize to myself "Oh wait... Markham... U of M... students... right." Given I had about 15 minutes before I had to leave for work, I figured I might have to put this off and delay getting this cache for a bit.

However, luck was with me. As well as timing. Y'see, I work at 11:30 am... so arriving at 11:00 am, virtually everyone was already in classes. I think all of a single car went by, and that wasn't even going to the U of M (it was going from those apartments there to Pembina). No problem, time to go a huntin'.

Figured it was in one place, I quickly discovered myself walking away from the coordinates, and quickly proceeded to turn around. And then it hit me... a Ford Explorer.

And by "a Ford Explorer", I of course mean "saw the cache". A common typo... the keys are like... right next to eachother .

Anyhoo... moments after I got run over saw the cache, I discovered that it's not only vehicles I have to watch out for. Several students (assumingly) were walking from Pembina down towards the U of M by way of Markham at this time. Wandering back towards my car (since just standing there would be about as conspicuous as possible), I pretended that I had forgotten something in there. The students seemed to care less and continued onwards. Heading back to the cache again, ANOTHER student decided to start heading down Markham.

sigh I pretended to look at the wristwatch I don't have and feigned waiting for something/someone. How true it was, in retrospect . After they had gone out of sight, I quickly snagged the cache! VICTORY! Heading back towards the car to avoid conspicution (the act of being discovered due to being conspicuous... trust me, it's a word ), I cracked open the cache container and signed me some logbook. One micromail ball later, and it was closed up again.

Although, I'm COMPLETELY confused about the hint, now that I read it. Perhaps I just didn't see what the hint was referencing, but thinking back... yeah, just doesn't make sense to me.

In either case, I replaced the cache container and headed back towards the car victorious. Thanks for giving me an outing before going to work, cheering me up for the day .

But I know what you mean when you mention "may not last too long" in the cache description. If you don't see it... it's quite well hidden. However, once your eyes catch a glimpse of it, it's EXTREMELY visible. Then again, there's been other caches that I would have thought should have disappeared like... days after they were placed, only to see that they're still there after several years . Time will tell, I suppose.

But yes... thanks again for the cache. Definitely a fun pre-work outing .
