Interesting location for a cache! And VERY amazed at the date shown in the first entry of the logbook . The smaller, original logbook, that is. I may not have even checked the logbook's first entry at all (I really should look at all the pages more often... it can be quite interesting), but since there was a second, smaller book contained in the ziplock bag that contained the larger logbook... I was curious as to what it was. It was indeed filled with log entries... dating back to 2002! Unless I just mis-read, and it was 2001 as shown on the geocaching page here (which makes it even MORE amazing... and arguably the oldest cache I've ever found). Still astounded at how long this fella's been sitting here Shock.

I was on my way back from the Gladstone 125-year celebration and stopped for some of the geocaches on the way home. This one was nicely RIGHT beside the road, and had a nice driveway to pull into to get out of the way. A quick jog out of the car... and I found myself on the wrong side of some VERY dense trees. I spotted where the geocache had to be located, and after a quick correction to my entrance, found myself with plenty of room to poke around the cache and sign the logbook (the newer one, anyway ToungeOut). However... just a quick note... after seeing on this website that there's supposed to be two TB's in here and geocoin... I don't remember seeing ANY of them in the geocache itself. It could easily be that I just overlooked them since I was somewhat in a rush, but the next person that goes by this geocache may want to make a note to check if they're still there. I'm a little surprised I'd manage to miss THREE trackables in a geocache. One perhaps... two... eh, it could happen... but three? I figure I'd see at least ONE of them.

Aside from that... I poked around in the logbooks a little bit, and generally took my time... but some yelling along the lines of "What's taking so long" from the car got me to move a little bit faster ToungeOut. Had I a little more time, I probably would have wandered around a bit and checked out the REALLY old-looking buildings here and there, randomly wondering if anything still actually takes place in 'em, or who upkeeps them (if at all). An interesting site nonetheless, and definitely a nice stop for a geocache. Had a lot of fun getting it, and seeing just how long this one's been here Smile.

Took: Nothing
