Quick find beside the Perimeter Hwy.
There are very few caches in the south west corner of Winnipeg so I decided to place one down here for everyone. Small sized ammo can suitable for a quick dropoff or pickup of travelers. Be aware that the dirt road turns to mush after a heavy rain!
This cache was created to add to the number of QUALITY caches hidden in Manitoba. It is an official cache in the MBGA Cache Splash event.

Today I had a trip to Carman planned. Said trip for family-related, most-likely-boring (turned out to be kinda entertaining... but at the time, I didn't figure it would be) related activities would end up soaking up pretty much the entire day. Hence... I decided that on the trip to (and possibly from) Carman, I would attempt to tackle several of the caches along the way to ease the pain ToungeOut.

This ended up being the first one on my list. Really close to the Perimeter, directly on the path I take to Carman... it seemed like a go. And it was a fairly new one to boot BigSmile. With my fiancee in tow, we set the GPS for the cache and waited for the 'beep' of getting about 1km away from it. A quick detour down the gravel road that runs beside the Perimeter, and we parked under 8 meters from the cache! Nice to see a large container, too! It appears to have a couple of particularily big toys in it, that could make it a good choice if you have kids with you. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the market for toys at the moment ToungeOut. One chainmail ball payment for the cache find however, and I was back in the car on our way to Carman.
