Stringy the Turtle

A Turtle Spirit gifted to me by the Cree people

A green string-figure looking Turtle Spirit.
Stringy the Turtle Spirit. Oh, I apologise my friend, for it taking so long for you to be put on the website.

So as timing would have it, Stringy was created very soon before our first attempt for me to move to England, possibly just days before were his metal rings attached. So a bit of story. I had (and still have) been enthralled with string figures, and had taken to showing my string figure skills up in The Pas, Manitoba. The Cree people reached out to me Spiritually one day, and offered to gift me a Turtle Spirit to travel with me, and be a companion with me, to be imbued into my string figure, if I would affix it into the position of a turtle with Them. I followed Their instructions, the string figure starting out as the Many Stars figure, and they had me permanently connect it at several points with hot glue, creating a loose turtle figure in the loops. They had me bind it somewhat, but not too much, to leave him flexible and able to move around.

Not long after that, maybe a week or two, the glue was already beginning to come loose (Stringy travelled with me often), so we came up with the idea of connecting the glue points with metal chainmaille rings, tightened up around the string, to more permanently affix the points.

It was very shortly after this that we attempted to move the first time, and the majority of my belongings, along with all of my dragons and Stringy, stayed in England, waiting for the correct paperwork to go through. And then eventually, we find ourselves here, finally able to add you to the website, my wonderful Turtle friend. Yet another Turtle to go along with Upulnesayay and Oka, although more of a friend companion than a Deity in my periphery, much like my Dragons.

It's wonderful, to finally have Stringy by my side again, after so long. Finally curled up beside or in my pocket again, or riding in my bag, and just being around again, curled up by Abby and myself.
Stringy, a Turtle Spirit imbued into this string figure string by the Cree people, to join me in my travels and be a companion for me. He's made from a moss green paracord held in places by black chainmaille rings squeezed into place, with legs, head, and a tail emerging from the string figure. He's sitting curving to the left, which he can being a flexible string figure Turtle Spirit, sitting on top of a lighter green background.Stringy, sitting a bit more straightened out on the green backdrop, facing upwards.

Stringy sitting on the grass in the park, somewhat dry grass because he just blended right in with the darker green grass, crawling to the side. There's a small twig above him, and woodland strawberry leaves beneath him.
