Found it 9/23/2006 by Kabuthunk
WOOHOO! Another DNF is off my list o' DNF's to... find. I actually emailed to get a 'hint' as to where I should be looking for this one, but it appears that said hint was useless. Looks like ye hiding spot was either pushed down or broken or something, because it sure wasn't hiding anywhere a hint was pointing towards.
I actually spotted it about 20 minutes into my search. After looking at pretty much every side of every tree and branch there, I just kinda stopped to catch my breath. In the corner of my eye, I spotted the bottom-corner of the camo-covered film container, mostly covered in leaves lying on the ground. REALLY surprised I spotted that. Picked it up, and it was indeed the cache. Contents still dry, everything still good, but I had absolutely NO clue where the cache was SUPPOSED to go. Couldn't find any knotholes or anything. Hence, since I had 5m accuracy on the GPS, I found another spot to hide it about 4 feet west from where it zeroed, so it shouldn't be too far off current coordinates. However, someone who's found this another time (or the cache owner) may want to check on this and see how close it is to correct. If you need, drop me an email and I can describe the exact location of where I placed it.

Didn't find it 9/22/2006 by Kabuthunk
Hunted around for about 20 minutes with no luck. Not even sure where a film canister could be hidden in here... the trees don't have any kind of 'holes' in them to hide stuff in, nor are there any (that I saw) stumps that could hold anything. Also didn't see anything attached to any branches. Then again, the GPS was kinda having me go all over the place. Covered a lot of area, but given the last post, it's in a hiding-type position I'm not yet familiar with. Unfortunately, time was not on my side, and I had to move on if I planned to at least find one or two before going to work today. I'll have to come back to this one sometime. The DNF's are starting to pile up... gotta start clearing them out ToungeOut. However, after I find this one (and that other one after it's replaced), I think I'll take a break from the whole 'micro in a forest' thing. They're starting to get at me.
