Same as bergmannfamily mentioned, I was completely unaware of one of these evil eyes located here. Albeit it's ridiculously rare that I happened to be driving through this intersection, but I figured I'd swing by it on my way home today.

I had just finished locating the ICU cache at Grant and Wilson, and was preparing to head home. But I figured... I'm already out... let's see what I can kinda hit on the way home. Being as I've located most caches in my Dani-Radius, there's not all that much on a direct route... but a little looping further North, and this particular ICU could easily be in my path BigSmile.

Hence, off I went! As an added bonus, I was able to find parking very close to the coordinates. It looks like my streak of 3 ICU caches without having to cross the road came to a grinding halt here though, since parking was across the intersection. Well... I suppose my old nemesis "probability" had to return eventually ToungeOut. It appears that all parking requires payment here... but since I was all of maybe 30 meters from the cache, I figured I could risk it. Wasn't about to go after any other caches nearby, and I wasn't really feeling well enough to go on a walking tour downtown anyway. Traffic was nice and light at this time of day (around noonish), both foot and vehicular. It made it quite easy to swoop in and grab the cache with nobody nearby Smile.

I signed the log on the platform of the "Welcome to Churchill" polar bear (or whatever it says... something about Churchill, anyway), so the writing isn't the clearest on earth... but easily made out regardless. Dropping in a signature nanomail ball, and I clamped it shut again. During that whole process, I think all of maybe a half-dozen cars went by, and a single pedestrian. Yep... mental note... somewhere shortly after noon on a weekday seems to be an optimal time to look for caches downtown. Well... it'd probably be busier directly on Portage with the hotdog vendors, but over here it was nice and quiet.

One more quick swoop to replace the cache, and I was on my way. Despite not feeling well (I was actually on my way home from a walk-in clinic to get an absent note for work), I managed to find two caches today... not too shabby.

So yet another ICU cache is off of my to-do list, and... *checks* it looks like the next closest is 5.5km away from me, so it may be a bit before I can swing by that one ToungeOut.

Took: Nothing
Left: Logbook entry and nanomail ball

Note: Bah... looks like this will be a short online log... probably because I'm sick or something.
