There is alot of overhead bush/trees, so your GPS will be bouncing around abit. You are looking for a cammo'd container that contains a log book and a pencil. There is room for tradable trinkets as well. Since there weren't many caches in this popular huge park, I went out and hid a few. Good Luck

This cache was part of a personal quest of mine. The second-last part, to be specific. I was on a quest to locate four caches in approximately 40 minutes (since another 20 after that would be required to drive back to a geocaching event). As of setting out after this cache specifically, I had about 12 minutes of remaining available time... inside of which I would have to locate two caches in Assinaboine Park which I have not already found.

Which I thought would be a bit difficult, but given my luck with the last set of geocaches, I figured there was at least a decent chance of pulling it off. Worst case scenario, if a DNF or two got in my way I could always show up late. Wanted to avoid that if at all possible however.

In the end, I actually ended up getting to the event early... traffic was on my side .

Nonetheless... this particular cache was to be find #398. I parked in that little strip of parking just North of here and headed towards the coordinates. There appeared to be not one, but TWO groups of people preparing for sporting events of some sort. Or exercize events... or something or another. I made a bit more of a curved path to avoid them as much as I could, and when I had passed the groups I headed towards the bushy area.

Of which I was quite amused with said area of the bushy variety! There were a number of paths running throughout the dense trees and bushes, which would have made for some fun biking. The shade was also quite nice, since it was pretty warm out. I was even MORE amused by the fact that there was a picnic table in the middle of the dense, bushy area! How in the world they managed to get that thing inside of there without breaking a ton of branches and other plantlife is beyond me! So yes... I've made a mental note of this picnic bench for future use. I wish I had more time... I would have kicked back for 10 minutes or so at the table and just relaxed. It'd make an awesome area to read a book or eat or something while being completely engulfed in plantlife .

Although I get the feeling that in spring, you might as well have a shirt with a giant logo on the back saying "woodticks, meet your new home" .

Passing by the picnic table, I continued my quest (about 8 minutes and counting). When I arrived at the coordinates, I was in luck! It spotted the container after only a few seconds, and made the retrieval. Given the amount of time I had left before entering 'late' period was running on the ridiculously low side, I didn't write much in the logbook. Actually, I didn't even really look at the swag much at all inside. Right now, the only thing on my mind was "only one more... you can do it". Lobbing in a chainmail ball and signing the logbook, I closed it up tight and replaced it back in its hiding place.

Although, future cachers may want to consider taking kids to this one or something. The container was quite full, and could use some trading for smaller items in there.

Adding a bit more 'natural' camouflage to the hiding spot, I quickly found the exit to the bushy area and worked my way towards my final goal... 'hollowed ground' to the North.

But yeah... VERY much thanks for hiding more caches in Assinaboine Park. It definitely had room for more, and about a year ago I had found all caches located inside of it (except one that was in the zoo). Extremely glad to see there's more for me to find in these parts .

Especially in foresty areas like this one .
